    In any environment each individual can bring a unique perspective. At Jefferson we work in teams which are truly empowered to control their success. Jefferson's organizational structure is very flat leading to wide teams which encompass many diverse skill sets and experience levels in order to deliver truly diverse . In addition to Branch teams Jefferson also fosters the team atmosphere on a company wide level through company events, our monthly employee newsletter, our Technical Knowledgebase, and our corporate collaboration & communications system.

    Our entire organizational structure is based around employee empowerment. Wherever possible metrics are instituted and employees are managed by result. This means total empowerment to control your success. Each Branch in our organization is fully empowered to make decisions regarding budget, staffing, pricing, clients and projects. This allows for a lean management organization with responsibility spread throughout the organization.

At Jefferson we truly work as a team. The IT Consulting business can be very demanding and competitive. We believe that if we act as a team, we have no competition. As a team, each member is chartered:

  • To Serve - To always be willing to lend a hand, mentor or assist other team members and the team as a whole.
  • To Strive - To do everything with Excellence in mind. To set the goal and move toward it.
  • Not To Yield - To be an "A" player and work at the task until it is complete and give no less than 100%.

When these charters become reality then we are truly a team and there is no better place to be.

Healthy Competition
We believe that a healthy competition should exist within our organization which causes each of us to push ourselves. As our teams push us we build stronger relationships and grow as individuals and a team.

 Balance


Striking a balance between personal and professional life is an important part of the Jefferson Culture. Because of the nature of the IT Consulting Business sometimes the hours can be demanding on our time. We recognize this at Jefferson and realize that we must strike a balance. While it is important to meet the expectations of our customers, it is also important to make sure that our people are able to have a life outside of work. For this reason we work hard to ensure that our client's expectations are realistic and that our consultants can strike a positive balance.

Vacation/Holidays
As a professional services organization each of our full time salaried consultants are eligible for two weeks of paid vacation and eight paid holidays each year. As your length of employment increases your vacation also increases.

Technical Utilization Bonuses
At times team members may be required to work additional hours in order to complete or work through a particularly difficult part of an engagement. When this becomes necessary our full time salaried consultants are compensated through "Technical Utilization Bonuses" which are paid monthly.

Every employee of Jefferson is expected to be honest and do the right thing every day. The are no exceptions to this. We believe that this is of paramount importance in preserving the culture and reputation of Jefferson. For this reason, we have Zero Tolerance for individuals who exhibit lack of integrity.

Professional Integrity - Part of your Empowerment
Each Jefferson consultant is completely empowered to make recommendations to our clients. As an organization Jefferson does not endorse or represent any vendors, suppliers or products. We believe that each consultant should thoroughly look at all options available in each situation and give each client a range of options. This approach is fundamental to developing Partnerships with our clients.
